The S-25 is an unguided air-to-ground missile of Soviet production from the Cold War period. The missile entered the line in 1975. Its length in the S-25OF version is 331 cm with a diameter of 34 centimeters. The mass of the ready-to-fire projectile is approximately 380 kg, while the weight of the warhead is 150 kg. Development works on the presented missile began in the second half of the 1960s, and their aim was to develop a missile intended to replace the S-24 Buran missile in the line. The aim was also to provide the S-25 with the greatest possible firepower and it was assumed from the beginning that it would be designed to destroy such targets as, for example: tactical missile launchers, fortified points of resistance, means of railway transport, railway and road junctions or permanent artillery positions of the enemy . Several versions were developed in the course of production, including: the S-25O (high-explosive warhead missile), S-25OF (high-explosive warhead missile) or the S-25Ł (semi-active laser warhead missile). Various variants of the S-25 missile could be used on machines such as: MiG-27, Su-22, Su-25 or Su-25.
